The Moon in the Background
Took a quick picture after we lit our fire for the night as both a bonfire and to grill food later in the evening. Had to setup a wind barrier later on as it was a bit too windy. Too bad though since the wind stopped around midnight and it was sooooo very hot and that’s about my only complaint during the trip.
Oh and I have a fun story for you guys, I just got a message a couple of days ago from one of my followers here on tumblr and she said that she was actually there that night we were camping and she wasn’t quite sure that it was me but when she saw me post the photos she went ahead and sent me a message to let me know. What a small world!

Moonrise
The moon glows orange as it rises over the shore of Calatagan, Batangas. I was focused on the sunset in the opposite direction and I was very much surprised to see this sight behind me. I hope I caught it while it was still lower on the horizon but I definitely can’t complain!

Reflections of the Stars
When I saw this sight in person I was astonished. However, I don’t feel I did the scenery justice though. I need more opportunities to practice shooting such a scene and I look forward to learning! This was taken in Calatagan, Batangas, Philippines. 18mm, ISO 6400, 30 seconds, f/3.5.
